EEXI Calculation (Technical approach)

  • Technical Approach
  • Applicable to all ships of 400 GT and above
  • Calculate the attained & Required EEXI based on the empirical formulas as per the IMO guideline MEPC 76.
  • Develop ship specific EEXI technical file
  • Preparation of OMM for ships opting for EPL to comply with EEXI.
  • EEXI improvement factors are EPL, changing fuel type, redesign propeller, installation of shaft generator, energy saving devices, rotor sails & increasing capacity etc.

CII Calculation (Operational approach)

  • Operational Approach
  • Applicable to all cargo and cruise ships of 5000 GT and above
  • Calculate the CII Rating as per the IMO guideline MEPC 76.
  • Low rated vessels ("E" or "D" on 3 consecutive years) should develop a plan of corrective actions and the plan should be approved by the Administration or RO
  • Updating enhanced SEEMP for continues improvement of CII rating
